Why block proxy IPs?
Proxies servers allow web users to connect to other sites while masking the true identity and location of the user. These proxies are sometimes used by companies to remain anonymous however they are also widely used to commit cyber fraud and other harmful activities.

Most genuine customers will not hide behind a proxy and by filtering out proxy users, you should remove 95% of malicious traffic.

How do you block proxies?
Our proxy and Bad IP checking service silently checks the main Traffic Demon database to check if a visitor is listed as a proxy or bad IP address. Our database currently contains over 14.5 million bad IP addresses which cover proxy addresses, known spam and hacker addresses and other identified bad IPs. We also block many Tor (The Onion Ring) servers which act in much the same way as proxies.

Blocked IP addresses can be redirected to the URL of your choice where you can let the user know they must disable anonymous browsing if they wish to use your website. Our protection measures also feature additional measures designed to deter even new previously undetected proxies.

Page Protection
With our page protection system you can protect your HTML pages and Javascript code. There are up to 4 different methods of page protection available for use under different circumstances. These protection measures offer differing levels of protection for you to choose from.

Page protection works alongside Traffic Cleaning and Proxy Blocking by encrypting your HTML/JavaScript content and only displaying your page to allowed visitors.

Simpy copy your HTML or Javascript code into our code encryptor and it will return your fully encrypted code that cannot be read without the decryption code.

Fraud Protection
Our stealth mode Fraud Protection service will not block a visitor. It will return a validation code if the visitor is allowed which can be read by your form processing code so you can add our own custom code to decide how to handle the result.

Stealth mode also generates a unique ID and adds this to the access event logs so you can go back and trace the IP address that submitted the form.

InfoBox Data
Our InfoBox feature allows you to display data to your vistitors. InfoBox Lite displays a visitors IP address and location details whilst InfoBox Plus displays a visitor's full location and connection details plus location maps and visitor history maps.

The InfoBox colors and features can be altered in the client control panel to blend with your existing site design.

IP Tracing
This service allows our members to carry out full IP traces free of charge.

Our tracer program will return the IP location, host, region, area status, blocked details and postcode where available of any IP address you input.

Traffic Routing
Our Traffic Routing service allows you to redirect visitors depending upon which country they are from. i.e. you can redirect a UK visitor from yoursite.com to yoursite.co.uk.

Access Logging
This service automatically logs all visitors to your secured pages. Log fiiles are stored for one year so you can easily look back and research a security breach that occurred months ago.

The access logs also record stealth codes which allow you to trace the IP address of someone submitting a form.
